Lee Chaolan is the adopted son of Heihachi Mishima, who adopted Lee to be the rival of Heihachi's biological son Kazuya Mishima. Their combat skill is equal, but those who know Lee's power fear the "Silver-Haired Demon". Heihachi never actually felt any emotion towards Lee the real purpose was to give Kazuya a rival to inspire him to shape up. Heihachi then took Lee Chaolan back to Japan to be educated. Impressed by Lee's street-fighting skill, Heihachi decided to adopt Lee. It was these qualities that caught the eye of Heihachi, who witnessed Lee fighting off several other kids while on a business trip. Facing a hostile environment each day, he quickly became a skilled scrapper with reflexes that were amazing for a boy of his age. Lee's parents died when he was a young child, leaving him to fend for himself on the streets. Lee is not the easiest character to grasp, but at the end of the day no 'setup' is better than just playing tekken with the tools you have.Lee Chaolan was introduced in the original Tekken and returned for every subsequent game, except Tekken 3. In general, just poke with his excellent jab strings, df1, magic 4, d3, keep them out with b4 into HMS, fake a few slides, that sort of thing. Still, a slow move I wouldn't use too much, it's not really Lee's style.
#LEE TEKKEN 4 SERIES#
f3+4 is a more legit option, but both infinite kicks and the ws2 series are too risky if your opponent knows what they're doing, I'd stick to ws4 and FC df4 or something. I'd also refrain from dubious stuff like 4u3, you're going to get floated if you use this regularly. First of all, it's very easy to step, and second, If they know their stuff, you're not going to get anything going with +1 and the risk of getting your 2,2,3 read is too high Wr34 into 2,2,3 - in HelpMe's words, use this move mostly to hit people, not to make them block it. It's ok to play mindgames with your opponent and challenging his turn from time to time, but repeatedly doing something like HMS 4/ HMS 2 is going to get you CH for the round.
#LEE TEKKEN 4 PLUS#
You're going to get the last hit ducked and launched or the whiffed hopkick whiff punished.ĭ3 into HMS into 'mixups' - d3 is NOT plus on hit. Because of that, I'm gonna give you some usual trash Lee player flowcharts that you should NOT use.į2,1 into hopkick - just don't. So most of the 'setups' you're going to read are most likely a bit gimmicky, and the way you should play Lee is by making correct reads on your opponent in slightly disadvantageous situations to score a big CH (which is extremely frustrating if you're on the receiving end). What I mean is, he's not a character you can use to constantly force unfavorable situations on your opponent (think a blocked WR2 from Dragunov, or Kazumi's db4), he does not have that kind of move. I'm not a Lee main and I'm not that good playing him either, but in general you don't use cookie-cutter, pre-made flowcharts with him because his frame advantage is often either fake or so small your opponent can fuck you up if he knows what you're up to.
